‘Everyone has talent but rare is the courage to showcase it’.

Young children have an ocean of hidden talent amongst them and we at Vishal Bharti Public School believe in letting our budding learners come forward and shine. In order to provide a chance to the students to exhibit their hidden potential and polish their innate abilities, a Talent Hunt was organised for classes Iand II.

The students showcased their instrumental ,dancing and singing skills very confidently on the stage. Winners were awarded and appreciated for their hardwork and dedicated efforts.
The event proved to be a wonderful platform for the students to nurture their intrinsic qualities and hidden talents.

Mon, 22nd May 2023 – Colour Week Celebration

"Every child is a different colour of flower and all together make this world a beautiful garden."

For young children understanding colour is essential as they use this knowledge in various areas of learning. Our Pre -School and Pre Primary children at V BPS celebrated 'Colour Week' from 15.5.23 to 19.5.23. The colour week was planned to enable the children experiment with wide range of primary colours.

All the children were colourfully dressed to celebrate the occasion ,classrooms too were decorated with different colours to welcome our tiny -tots. Teachers spoke about colours during class time and little ones performed various activities.

Children were given beautiful handouts which were designed to help the young children identify and differentiate various shades of colours. To make colour week more inclusive, last day was celebrated as Rainbow Day where they posed in front of selfie booth created by teachers for them. All the students passionately participated to make the celebration a grand one.

It was an excellent learning experience for children, as this activity enhanced their sense of  visual discrimination of colours

 

Fri, 14th Apr 2023 – “THE GREATNESS OF CULTURE CAN BE FOUND IN ITS FESTIVAL”

Baisakhi is a significant festival celebrated mainly in Northern states of India . It falls on April 13th or 14th every year and marks the beginning of a new solar year and the harvest season. It is also known as 'Vaisakhi'. The festival has both religious and cultural significance.

The colour of Baisakhi was reflected in a special way at Vishal Bharti Public School where Pre school and Pre primary students were told about the relevance of Baisakhi. Students tapped their feet on Punjabi folk songs. Various activities were arranged in Pre school and Pre primary. As Baisakhi is a harvest festival tiny tots of preschool did a corn cutting pasting activity.

This activity filled them with happiness and joy. The students of pre primary did finger printing in corn and showed their artistic skills. Just like every festival brings hope,happiness and joy similarly this also did and will retain in every student's heart for long.

“CHILDREN LEARN AS THEY PLAY MOST IMPORTANTLY, IN PLAY CHILDREN LEARN HOW TO LEARN”

Learning alphabets is the prime stepping stone to develop the skill necessary for reading and writing.

Keeping the above objective in mind,  ‘Pocket Game ‘ activity was organized for preschool students on 11.11.22.

Students had to match each picture with the correct initial letter header on the pocket chart.

The activity helped the children in building vocabulary and enhanced their spoken skills too.

Diwali ,the festival of lights,is celebrated across India.It is also called as Deepawali which means array of lights.Our little hearts of VBPS set the festive and  joyous mood for Diwali with a card making activity on 19.10.22.The teacher explained the significance of Diwali how this festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness,knowledge over ignorance,good over evil and hope over despair.
           

The students enthusiastically participated in the activity as it gave them an opportunity to showcase their creativity.

Mon, 05th Sep 2022 – Teacher's Day Card Making

“Teaching is the profession that teaches all the other professions”

September-5  is annually celebrated as Teacher’s Day to pay tribute to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and to all the teachers in our country.As we all know that handmade teacher’s day greeting card is an excellent way to convey emotions.

Pre –School students got creative and designed a handmade card to show their gratitude towards their teachers.Students tried many innovative ideas to decorate the cards.This activity reinforced  imagination and creativity among the children.

The session ended with the prefect of the class thanking the teachers for their efforts in shaping the life of stdents and inspiring them.

‘Cooking with love provides food for the soul!’

To highlight the theme of “food and culture”, a fun filled food fair was organized at Vishal Bharti Public School for the children of Pre School and Pre Primary on 30th August’22.

The children brought the famous dishes of different states along with various other items reflecting the culture of those particular states. All students actively participated in the activity as well as they were eager to know more about popular food items of different states.

The children dressed up in the attire of particular states allocated to them. In addition to that , they also prepared and presented a welcome note in that particular state’s language.

The classrooms were elegantly decorated which aid in generating a culturally rich ambience appropriate for the activity.

Tue, 23rd Aug 2022 – Inter Class Poem Recitation Contest

Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and a thought has found words.

The young and bright Warriors of Nature  recited the glory of the Mother Nature at Vishal Bharti Public School on 23rd August, 2022 during an Inter Class Poem Recitation Contest. The contestants came up with overwhelming performances. It was an amazing event comprising emotional expressions of the children for paying a tribute to their precious abode.

 It was a power packed presentation by all the participants. The Principal Rachna Jain appreciated the efforts and sentiments of the children.

In order to sensitize the students towards the nature and its environment, it was a step in the right direction.

The following were adjudged the best for giving an outstanding performance:

Doing by learning is a prime way to reinforce the concepts in youngwe children.Thus,to reinforce the learning of ? swar ,an activity related to  was organised in Preschool classes on 12.8.22.

The students were provided with different decorative material to decorate their ??? already drawn in their activity files.The objective was to enhance the motor skills,concentration & recognition of the students.

To celebrate the festival of Janamashtami, Matki Decoration Activity was conducted for the students of Class I . The students showcased their creativity and talent by decorating matkis with colourful decorative materials like ribbons, sequins,mirrors, stickers etc .

This activity developed their creativity and inculcated cultural values in them.

Mon, 08th Aug 2022 – Tri Colour Cap Activity

It was a red letter day in the history of India when the country got freedom on August 15, 1947. It took hundreds of years for us to break the shackles of slavery.

To mark the importance of this day students of Pre Primary celebrated this national festival with great pomp and show. Tri Colour Cap Making activity was organized on 8th August’22. Orange and green coloured caps were provided and the students thumb painted the Ashok Chakra in the middle of the flag designed on the cap. Every child participated in this activity very enthusiastically.

They were very excited to wear the beautiful tricolored caps. A sense of pride and exuberance was evident on their faces while they understood the importance of this day.

HAPPY RAKSHA BANDHAN

Rakhi thread is a sacred thread because it reminds us of the promise a brother makes to his sister that he will always protect her. To celebrate this pure bond between siblings ‘RAKHI MAKING’ activity was organized in the school on 8th  August 2022 for Pre-School students.

Children used colored paper cut outs and craft material to make beautiful Rakhis. The objective behind the activity was to celebrate and depict the pious relationship of brothers and sisters and develop their fine motor skills .

As per the Sanskrit terminology , ‘Rakshabandhan’ means “the tie or knot of protection” where “Raksha” stands for the protection and “Bandhan” signifies the verb to tie. Together the festival symbolizes the eternal love of brother-sister relationship which does not mean only blood relationship .

To celebrate this unconditional bond and love between brother and sister Pre Primary organizes ‘Rakhi Making Competition’ on 5th August’22. Children brought different colourful cutouts and decorative material . They were told to make beautiful Rakhi with the material using their own imagination. This activity helped children to enhance their imagination and creative skills.

They were able to express their love and care for their siblings and share good time with each other. They participated with full zeal and were very happy and excited to make beautiful rakhi’s .

Fri, 05th Aug 2022 – Badge Making Activity

To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation Badge Making Activity was organised for the students of Class I. Our young enthusiastic learners made circular  badges.

They  coloured them with shades of saffron, white and green and wrote 'Jai Hind' in the middle.It was a pleasure to watch our young learners immersed in  patriotic fervour.

Thu, 04th Aug 2022 – Friendship Band

Pre Primary


Friendship is the only cement that will ever hold the world together. True friends are families which you can select. To make the children understand the meaning of friendship Pre Primary organized an activity of ‘Friendship band’ on 4th August’22.

Children were asked to do sponge printing on a cutout of a heart. They were told to paste that heart cutout on the strip to make friendship bands. This activity helped in developing their creative skills, fine motor skills and helped them to socialize and express their feelings of friendship towards their friends.

Children understood the meaning of friends and friendship. They were overjoyed while doing this activity. They were excited to tie this beautiful band on their friends wrist.

Ice cream stick pasting is a fantastic idea to strengthen children's fine motor skills. Preschool children pasted ice cream sticks in a hut.

This activity encouraged them to enhance their creativity along with the revision of types of houses.

“The first drops of rain always bring a smile on our faces”

 ‘Rainy Season’ or ‘Monsoon’ the beautiful season of the year is a gift of God to mankind. It revives our souls and fills the surroundings with the beauty of fresh greenery.

To acknowledge this blessed gift of God; students of Pre School and Pre Primary celebrated  –Monsoon week in the month of July from 19th to 22nd.They did four different activities each day followed by a class party on the last day.

Day 1- Children made a Paper Boat and sailed it in water which helped them improve their fine motor skills. Also our young chefs excitedly prepared a delicious corn chaat.

Day 2- Umbrella/Raincoat day was celebrated which made them enjoy to the fullest and improve their gross motor skills.

Day 3 - Handprint on Peacock wall was done which helped them learn about colours and spatial relationship.

Day 4- Cotton dabbing on Frog along with Frog jump was done. It was a delightful sight to see our young Vbpians enjoying these activities.

Day 5- A class party was held where our little one's tapped their feet and enjoyed their favorite snacks.

Mother Teresa said, “It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.

To sensitize the students about the act of giving and to inculcate in them the idea of sharing is caring, the students of VBPS donated non-perishable food items like rice, sugar, pulses, flour, biscuits etc. for Goonj which is a non-profitable organization.

The students proved the words of Mahatma Gandhi true that the simplest acts of kindness are by far more powerful than a thousand heads bowing in prayers.

“Cleanliness &beauty always go hand in hand”


In order to sensitize children regarding environment conservation and to make them learn the values of cleanliness, VBPS organized the ‘EARTH DAY CELEBRATIONS”. The celebrations included various activities at different levels. The ‘ZERO GARBAGE ACTIVITY’ was one such activity. It was conducted on 11th April, 2019. A group of students from classes VI-VIII prepared two types of bins (biodegradable and non-biodegradable) from waste cartons and kept them in their classes for proper waste segregation. The usage of the two types of dustbins was explained to the helper staff of the school in a short meeting organized by the children with the helper staff. This activity created the awareness not only amongst the students but amongst the helpers as well. 

Thu, 31st Jan 2019 – Annual Report Presentation - Work Education (Class III - V)

Work Education is an integral part of our school curriculum.It  helps the students to develop a proper attitude and value in terms of discipline , sincerity , honesty ,hardwork, creativity etc . An annual report presentation for session 2018-19 was held on 31.01.19 ( Group A : Curricular  and Group B : Co – Curricular) for classes III to V .The students of each club came forward and gave a brief description about their respective clubs .They also threw light on the activities performed throughout the whole session and presented few activities.
The students concluded their presentation by expressing the impact of these activities on them.Further , they showed a gesture of gratitude towards their teacher incharges and thanked them for their support and guidance.This presentation was not only inspirational for the audiences but was quite enriching, informative and knowledgeable.

Thu, 29th Nov 2018 – Fire Mockdrill



An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

A fire mock drill involving students and staff was conducted in Vishal Bharti Public School  on 29th November 2018 to create awareness among the students about fire-fighting techniques and the ways to respond swiftly in times of such emergency situation.

Disaster Management Team  armed with necessary paraphernalia required for fire fighting and rescue operations positioned themselves at various points to guide and assist the students .The “evacuation” operation began moments after the fire alarm alerted the students.

The students were immediately evacuated from their classrooms and asked to gather in the assembly ground. Students  of class VIII sensitized students and teachers for any such eventuality and  enacted do’s and don’t’s to be followed  incase of fire breakout.

Demonstration  to operate the fire extinguishers safely was also carried out . Principal Dr. Amita Saxena addressed the students and raised her concern about the safety and well being of the students.Objective of conducting the mock drill  was to make the students and staff aware about the Fire Fighting rescue operation and necessary precautions to be taken in such emergency situation.

Mon, 29th Oct 2018 – FOLK ART – Madhubani Painting

Children of classes IX and X learnt about term Folk Art - which is a non professional art practiced in any community by ordinary men and women of various walks of life , who have undergone no regular training and practiced it just for decorating their houses.


One such Folk Art form is “Madhubani” which is a famous art form of Mithila region. Children learnt about some colourful motifs used in these paintings which describe a story and a ritual of their social life. They made some beautiful and colourful motifs from this art form by working in groups.

Sat, 06th Oct 2018 – Rocksport Adventure Camp (Class VI-VIII)

‘Just education is not enough; children must have sunshine, freedom and playtime.’

In order to inculcate different skills among our students, Vishal Bharti Public School in collaboration with Rocksport, organized an adventure camp at Gurugram for students of Classes VI-VIII on 6th October 2018. Away from the busy crowded road of Delhi, the students, accompanied by their teachers, reached their destination where fun activities awaited them. These activities aimed at maintaining fitness level and the physical and mental balance of the students. The students were divided into groups and each group was assigned a group leader. the students gained new perspective as they got to face different obstacles in the form of activities like Burma Bridge, Commando Net, Tyre Maze, Zip Lining, Wall Climbing etc. the amount of energy and enthusiasm exhibited by the students was enthralling. The students while involved in various activities learned to build good relations with their friends and gain problem solving skills.

Tractor Rides, Camel carts and pottery making truly enhanced the experience of rural adventure. At the end of the day, Rocksport’s DJ played peppy numbers and the students danced with full vigour inspite of being tired and exhausted. It was a day filled with fun and the students returned with memories to be cherished forever.

Activity was conducted on 5th October for the students of classes III to V. Students made beautiful Diwali lamps using coloured papers. They decorated the lamp with variety of decorative materials, golden papers etc. The students showcased their creativity and aesthetic sense.

Wed, 03rd Oct 2018 – A Small Step Towards Clean Surroundings

Clean India Green India  is our perfect dream.

Vishal Bharti Public School organized  a Cleanliness Drive in DDA Park, Paschim Vihar on October 3,2018 as a part of V-Care Initiative and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan with the vision of Clean India and Green India that was launched by our honourable Prime Minister on 2nd October 2014 .This is the fourth year in row that  Vishal Bharti  has  been actively promoting this campaign by encouraging youth and citizens  to adopt good habits of cleanliness .
The purposes of cleanliness is health, beauty, absence of offensive odour and to avoid the spreading of dirt and contaminants.
Keeping this in mind, students of Class XI went for cleaning campaign in the neighbouring  DDA Park.They picked up wrappers, bits of trash , empty bottles ,cans etc  that were lying scattered all over the park and put them into dustbins.Students were equipped with brooms, pick up tools, garbage bags.  These Eco-warriors also cleared heaps of garbage lying by the pavement, while a few engaged in awareness drive by interacting with the people in the park. The motto of the drive was-‘ Look around, walk around, breathe clean air and don’t litter the ground’.
Cleanliness is an emblem of purity of mind. Our students played the role of clean up ambassadors. They not only took initiative but encouraged the locals also to keep their surroundings clean.

Sat, 01st Sep 2018 – Hindi – Calligraphy Competition

‘The desire to write grows with writing.’

With an aim to instill the habit of writing neatly, Hindi – Calligraphy Competition was conducted in Grade II. All the students actively participated and showed their interest by writing beautifully in their notebooks.
Children were asked to write a paragraph which was being assessed on the basis of formation of letters, spacing of letters, spellings, neatness and appropriate usage of punctuation marks. The best ones were appreciated for their efforts.

“Great ability develops and reveals itself increasingly with every new assignment.”

Young children have an ocean of hidden talent amongst them and it was displayed at VBPS on July 26th and 27th, 2018 for Pre- school to class II.   Students showcased their talents ranging from  fancy  dress, singing, dance  to  instrumental. The  main reason behind organizing these competitions is to nurture the intrinsic qualities of students and remove the stage fear among students, which helps in the development of overall personality of  the  students.    It  was  an  enthralling  experience  for  the students and audience. Students of Pre-school to class II participated actively and executed their  activities very well.

The Principal, Dr Amita Saxena graced the occasion and motivated the participants. At the end of the competition, the winners were given away Certificates of Appreciation.

Fri, 27th Apr 2018 – Road Safety Week (2018-19)

 “Safety is not expensive but priceless”

To enlighten the students about road safety and to create an awareness among them about safety rules, an activity ‘Road Safety Quiz’ was conducted for classes VI- VIII on 27th April, 2018. The activity was conducted in the respective classrooms where a set of questions related to all aspects of traffic rules and regulations were asked from the students and they very enthusiastically answered them.  Students identified the safety warning signs with great confidence and zeal .The activity was a great learning experience and encouraged the students to adhere to the safety rules to be safe and were convinced that the small actions can make big difference They also shared their views on how they can be instrumental in making people around them  aware of traffic rules.

Fri, 27th Apr 2018 – Road Safety Week - Drawing Competition

Vishal Bharti Public School observed Road Safety Week during the month of April. To make this day significant a drawing and colouring competition was organized for classes 1 to 5 on 27th April.

Students made attractive paintings with beautiful illustrations and quoted motivating thoughts. It was an excellent and unique learning experience for them to come together and promote the importance of Road Safety. The students participated with great enthusiasm and aplomb.

Speed is thrill but it kills.  

A story writing competition was held for classes IX and X on 26.4.18 as a part of Road Safety Week. The students expressed their concern for road safety in the form of stories. They have taken incidents related to accidents to narrate stories. The deep concern that young generation have for road safety was expressed well through stories.

This activity helped the students understand the importance obeying traffic rules.

Mon, 23rd Apr 2018 – Road Safety Week - Debate Competition

XI - XII



Road crashes are the biggest killer of young people worldwide. Schools can play a key role in preventing road casualties and enabling children, families and everyone to use roads without being endangered.
Road Safety Week is a great way to educate children, young people and parents about the dangers on roads, how we can all take steps to be safer, and how adults can better protect children. It can make a huge difference to children’s lives and help to prevent deaths and injuries.

Road Safety Week was organized at Vishal Bharti Public School from 23.4.18 to 30.4.18 .  Students of Classes 11 and 12 participated in a Debate organized in their classes on 27th April ’18. Students spoke eloquently on Road Safety and how being prepared and taking some action is what we can do to protect our life and others too. They also spoke on the necessity of obeying all traffic rules and the things that can be done to avoid accidents. According to the speakers the important thing is to stay alert all times while using the roads.

Road Safety is very much up to how we use the roads. Use them carefully and we may be able to use them for a long time. Use them carelessly and we may never be able to use them again.

“It’s our duty to save environment’s beauty”.


To spread awareness about planting more trees and to keep own surroundings clean, assembly presentation on Earth Day was organized on 20.04.2018 and 27.04.2018.

Students of Class I presented slogans, quotations and poems on Earth Day on 20.04.2018.
Students of Class II spoke about importance of Earth Day through their presentations on topics: Save Trees, Save Water and Save Asnimals on 27.04.2018.

They  used suitable props, head gears and spoke confidently. All students learned to appreciate their planet Earth. The assembly presentation boosted their confidence and provided an excellent opportunity to overcome stage fright.

Earth Month – the celebration of bounties of our mother earth in different ways is celebrated each year with great zeal and enthusiasm in our school by conducting various activities at different levels . An activity ‘Plantation of a Sapling ‘  was conducted by the students of classes III – V on 16th April 2018 in the school premises wherein a group of students from the class planted saplings in the school garden with the help of their teacher and school gardener .Teachers also guided the students regarding the importance of plantation of  trees , the process of plant growth and some steps to do gardening .

The activity ended on a peaceful note with principal ma’am coming forward to plant the saplings with the students and imparting wisdom to the students regarding the importance of planting trees and encouraging kids to plant more and more trees not only at school level but even in their outside environment .The activity was a great learning experience as they became aware of the various scientific laws of nature and the significance of planting trees.

Thu, 12th Apr 2018 – Cooking Without Fire- Fruit Chaat

Fruits are the rich source of vitamins and minerals that help you feel healthy and energized .They play the healthiest role in keeping our body fit .To inculcate the habit of eating fruits in children, a fun filled activity was conducted by student by Pre-School on 12.4.2018 where they made “Fruit Chaat”. They mixed the different varieties of cut fruits like mangoes, banana, grapes etc in a big bowl. Thereafter, they sprinkled rock salt and lemon juice on it. Our little chefs were very excited to make the fruit chaat on their own.

The prepared fruit chaat was served to the children to the children and they enjoyed their delectable presentations. The main objective of this activity was to reinforce healthy eating habits amongst the tiny tots.

Life without trees and plants is impossible. To teach our children the importance of trees an activity “Leaf Printing” was organized on 6.4.18 for Pre School and Pre Primary  children. Children did leaf printing in away that it looked like a tree.They also made its trunk .

This activity helped them to enhance their artistic and aesthetic skills.

A Small Step Towards Clean India

Clean and green is our perfect dream.

Vishal Bharti Public School organized a Cleanliness Drive in DDA Park, Paschim Vihar on October 6, 2017 as a part of V-Care Initiative and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.   On 2nd October 2014, Swachh Bharat Mission was launched throughout the length and breadth of our country as a national movement. We at Vishal Bharti have been wholeheartedly promoting this campaign since the last three years encouraging youth and citizens to adopt good habits of cleanliness.

The main purpose of the drive was to create awareness among the students and the residents regarding benefits of hygiene and cleanliness. The most important purpose of maintaining cleanliness is to get healthy surroundings, hygienie, to beautify and remove offensive odour as well as avoid the spread of dirt and contaminants.

Cleanliness is an emblem of purity of mind. Our students played the role of clean up ambassadors. They not only took initiative but encouraged the locals also to keep their surroundings clean.

 

Wed, 27th Sep 2017 – Visit to 'Godhuli' Old Age Home


On September 27, students of Class 8 of Vishal  Bharti  Public  School Paschim Vihar, paid a visit to an old age home 'Godhuli' situated at Dwarka, New Delhi. As VBPS believes in giving the first hand experiences to the learners and as a part the school’s initiative to sensitize the young towards the aged and the needy, VBPS students met and spend time with the elderly inmates of Godhuli. Students brought in a breath of fresh air as they presented songs and played games like antakashari, chess, ludo, snakes and ladder.

It was a joyous experience for the students who visit the old age home and interacted with its inmates. The most inspiring thing was that, in spite of many hardships these aged people have brave hearts and are still try to find endless ways to be happy.

Thu, 20th Jul 2017 – Composting is Fun – Eco Club Activities


Our patience and endeavor with composting  bore fruit as we were able to not only produce manure successfully using our TRUSTBIN but we also got a good amount of liquid fertilizer which acts as fast grow for the plants.

The manure was used for the plants in the lawn and the liquid fertilizer we poured into our pet plants in our class rooms. We also loaded the TRUSTBIN again with fresh biodegradable material so that it can make more manure for our plants.

Thu, 28th Apr 2016 – Roman Tambola

Class V

There is no better way to learn the concept of Roman Numerals than through a game. Keeping this in mind, an activity called ‘Roman Tambola’ was conducted for Class V on 28.4.16. To play the game, the students were asked to write given Roman Numerals in the grid (3x5). Teacher began the game by announcing Hindu- Arabic numerals and students first translated the number to Roman Numerals and coloured it if the number appeared in the grid.

The winner was the first one to get four numbers coloured in the line. At the end of the activity, students had mastered the ability of converting Roman Numerals. Students participated in the activity with lot of zeal and enthusiasm.

Wed, 27th Apr 2016 – GUI Application Development in Java

Class XII

The students of class XII developed a GUI application in Java using different swing controls such as textboxes, radio buttons, labels, checkboxes etc.  The application was designed to stimulate the online pizza order form for a customer to place an order for home delivery. 

The students first viewed the online form on the internet of any one company such as pizzahut, dominos etc. and then designed their GUI accordingly.

This helped them to understand how java programming constructs were being applied in real life applications.

Wed, 27th Apr 2016 – Social Objectives pursued by companies

Class XI

An activity 'Social objectives pursued by Companies' was conducted in class XI on 27 April 2016.The main aim of the activity was to help the students to understand the social objectives of a business.

Students collected the information about ten socially responsible companies. They prepared a project on the basis of this information.

With the help of this activity, they learnt that companies are not only pursuing the organizational objectives but also the social objectives like Maruti Suzuki (community development & road safety), Tata Motors (Healthcare & Education), Tata Chemicals (Wildlife Conservation) etc.

Class V

Be a part of Solution  not the part of Pollution

In order to find solution to the city's hazardous air, Delhi Government introduced road rationing policy on April 1. An activity focusing on advantages and disadvantages of the scheme was conducted in Class V on 26 April. Most of them spoke in favour of the policy as according to them that is the only way to save our mother earth. In the end they promised to be a part of the rule by encouraging their parents to follow the same. This activity helped children in understanding the grave problem of Pollution.

Mon, 18th Apr 2016 – Expanded Form-Using Origami Sheet

Class III

'Learning by Doing' is the best approach of learning at primary level. Keeping this in mind, an activity 'Expanded Form –Using origami Sheet' was conducted in class III on 18.04.16 where students revised the concept of expanded as well as short form using origami sheet.

Teacher being a guiding principle of a student's life instructed the students as to how the activity was performed. The students acted in a responsive manner and followed the instruction of the teacher.

Tue, 12th Apr 2016 – Pick, Choose and Enact

Class IV

"Pick, Choose, Recognize and Enact" activity was conducted on 12/5/16.In this activity, students picked the chit out of multiple chits on which name of different living and non-living things like fan, bird, fish, flower, car, star, moon etc were written. After reading the name on the chit, they recognized the thing and acted upon it.

This activity enhanced their vocabulary skills. Students learned about the various features differentiating living and non-living things.

Mon, 11th Apr 2016 – Number representation on Abacus

Class III

Abacus is a simple device used for carrying out mathematical operations. It consists of a frame with row of wires along which beads are slided. An activity of abacus was conducted in class III on 11.4.16 where students made beautiful and attractive abacus representing 4 digit number using straw, matchstick, broomstick, bindis , mirrors etc and showcased their creativity.

This activity was enthusiastically performed by each and every child of the class and helped to reinforce the concepts of number systems.

The whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into windows.
